Our security officers can help with disorderly behavior, aggressive panhandling, public drinking, individuals sleeping in doorways or blocking access, or can provide advice on a security issue. For cleaning services, our cleaning crews can help with cleaning the sidewalk, removing graffiti on the building walls facing the street, and picking up needles or other bio-hazards. For help with an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

A software developer has reaffirmed its commitment to downtown Portland with a planned move into the downtown Umpqua Bank Plaza building next year. Australian-based PaperCut Software has signed a six-year lease for a floor in the Umpqua Bank Plaza building at 1 S.W. Columbia St. Welcome to our district and welcome to downtown Portland, PaperCut Software! Downtown Portland Clean & Safe is expanding! Clean & Safe's proposal for district expansion - extending our reach from 213 to 273 blocks - has been approved by the Portland City Council. This is all part of our ongoing efforts to create vibrant and thriving neighborhoods for businesses and residents alike. “Our partnership with the city and our vendor staff are the keys to our district’s success. We wholeheartedly believe that every business district and neighborhood across the city should have the same opportunity to establish their own partnership with the city to create vibrant and prosperous neighborhoods,” said Mark Wells, executive director of Downtown Portland Clean & Safe. What an honor it was to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with approximately 5,000 of you at Director Park last weekend for downtown Portland's first-ever Frybread Fest in partnership with Portland Indigenous Marketplace! It was a day filled with culture and community, from drumming by Turquoise Pride and storytelling from Ed Edmo to beadwork by Ambassador Kay and a performance by Ei-Shah Pirtle Wright. Not forgetting the delicious frybread from Javelina PDX and beautiful merchandise from Indigenous vendors. Thank you to all who stopped by Director Park to celebrate!
