The Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP) is a 501(c)(6) organization, founded in 1961. With more than 275 corporate members, the DOP has a mailing list of more than 4k individuals. Membership is comprised of a wide variety of professionals from various industries who have businesses in and/or do business in Downtown Orlando. The DOP is governed by a board of directors and trustees, a group of business leaders who are passionate about supporting the downtown Orlando district. The Executive Committee includes a president, president-elect, and a treasurer. Board committees exist to help guide the activities of the DOP. MISSION The mission of the Downtown Orlando Partnership is to enhance business and community relationships through collaborative events and initiatives. VISION Downtown Orlando is an active community recognized as the premier destination of choice for business, community and culture. We envision Downtown Orlando as a thriving business community filled with prosperity, and as the premier destination for our community to live, work and play. At TAKEOFF2024, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority: Orlando International (MCO) and Executive (ORL) Airports unveiled key projects as part of its rebranding initiative, featuring a newly designed logo, an enhanced website, and an upgraded mobile app. The event brought together GOAA Board members, CEO Kevin Thibault, and community partners. Downtown Orlando's Curfew Update: At 5 p.m. today, the state of emergency curfew in the Downtown Entertainment Area will end. The curfew was enacted following a horrific act of gun violence that took the lives of two individuals in the streets of downtown last week. To ensure that downtown is safe and vibrant at night, the City of Orlando is working to take measures to end the street-party atmosphere during late-night hours, and encourage downtown visitors to patronize businesses. This will take effect starting the weekend of November 15 with the progressive opening of lanes through downtown, including Orange Avenue. This means pedestrians will be restricted to sidewalks when outside nightlife venues. While the reopening of Orange Avenue to vehicular traffic will take time, we hope that these additional efforts will create a safe experience in DTO while continuing to support our small businesses and nighttime economy.
