This is going to be amazing. Thank you Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre and Kilbourne Group for making this project happen!
?? Exciting Developments in Downtown Fargo! ?? A transformative $60M project is taking shape along NP Avenue, bringing new energy to the heart of Fargo. Workers are constructing the six-story Avery apartment complex, which will feature 168 housing units when completed in 2026. This ambitious development also includes: ??? A city-owned parking garage (set to be turned over to the city in August) ?? A brand-new Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre complex (featuring a 400+ seat theater, classrooms, and commercial space) Despite a few weather-related delays, the NP Avenue project remains on track. The first phase of The Avery is expected to open in summer 2026, with full completion by fall. Meanwhile, the theater shell will be finished by July, with interior work continuing into 2026. A major reconstruction of NP Avenue will also kick off this spring, further enhancing the area. This project is a testament to strong collaboration between Kilbourne Group, Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre, Global Development, and the City of Fargo—all working together to create a more vibrant, connected downtown. Stay tuned for more updates as Fargo continues to grow!

?? Record-Breaking Holiday Magic in Downtown Fargo! ?? The 18th Annual Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade lit up Downtown Fargo like never before—and the numbers prove it! Over 29,000 people gathered downtown, making it the largest Holiday Lights Parade on record since we began tracking data in 2017. Not only that, but this Saturday ranked as the 4th most active Saturday in Downtown Fargo’s history, behind only two St. Patrick’s Day Parades and one Street Fair Saturday. Downtown Fargo looked its absolute best, with over 55 beautifully decorated storefronts participating in the Downtown Community Partnership's Window Wonderland event. The festive displays, coupled with the magic of the parade, created an unforgettable experience for families, friends, and visitors. Events like these remind us why downtowns exist—to connect us to one another, create shared moments, and showcase the best of our community. Contrary to the too often negative public narrative, the attendance speaks volumes: people want to be downtown. In the past 12 months, Downtown Fargo has seen 4.5 million visits from 586,000 unique visitors. Of those visitors, 25% are from outside the Fargo-Moorhead area, and 50% are from outside the The City of Fargo —proving that Downtown Fargo is truly a regional cultural and economic hub. The Holiday Lights Parade is a testament to the strength of our community and what’s possible when we come together to foster a vibrant, welcoming downtown. Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and supported this record-breaking event! ??? #DowntownFargo #HolidayLightsParade #CommunityConnection #VibrantDowntown #ShopLocal Thanks to Forum Communications for the pictures below. Special thanks to Downtown Fargo Business Improvement District, Gateway Lions and Darrell Costain, El Zagal Shrine Fargo, The City of Fargo, and the Moorhead Police Department.

Thank you Sophia Richards for bringing this idea to the Downtown Community Partnership! There’s no better feeling than being a part of community where taking care of your neighborhood is more than a priority, it’s a way of life. Downtown Fargo is that kind of community.
I partnered up with the Downtown Community Partnership to create the first annual Love Your Downtown Day! Last week, the Downtown Community Partnership (DCP) and the Downtown Fargo Business Improvement District (BID) had the opportunity to visit the St. Paul Alliance and the Downtown Improvement District (DID) in St. Paul, Minnesota to learn from our counterparts and exchange ideas. From facing daily operational tasks to navigating similar challenges, it was an insightful trip packed with takeaways. What stood out most was St. Paul’s security and safety protocols, showcasing how businesses can collaborate to create a safer, more cohesive downtown community. ?? We’re excited to bring these ideas back to Fargo and continue strengthening the vibrancy and safety of Downtown Fargo for businesses, residents, and visitors alike. ?? #DowntownFargo #StPaul #BusinessImprovementDistrict #DowntownImprovementDistrict #Collaboration #SafetyFirst #DowntownVibrancy

The Downtown Community Partnership has actively partnered with The City of Fargo and many local experts to bring attention to the City's Housing First initiatives, including those presented by James Mathy from Milwaukee. A key aspect of Mr. Mathy’s presentation was to emphasize that supporting local businesses and addressing homelessness are not mutually exclusive goals; they are, in fact, complementary and critical to the health of our community.
