Leading city-changing projects that improve the connectivity, livability and inclusivity of Downtown Columbus.

关于我们

Downtown Columbus, Inc. (DCI), formerly Columbus Downtown Development Corporation & Capitol South, is a private nonprofit organization whose mission is to lead city-changing projects and collaborations that improve the connectivity, livability and inclusivity of the Downtown Columbus experience. Downtown Columbus, Inc. drives development and progress of the Downtown Columbus Strategic Plan, working collaboratively across sectors toward the vision for Downtown Columbus to become a neighborhood of connected, people-first urban districts that can be enjoyed by all. For more than two decades, Downtown Columbus, Inc., has been leading transformational change in the heart of Columbus bringing an influx of residents and investment, all guided by the community through Downtown Strategic Plans. The 2010 Downtown Strategic plan emphasized projects, creating greenspaces like Columbus Commons, the Scioto Mile and Dorrian Green, along with cultural amenities such as the National Veterans Memorial and Museum and American Museum of Natural History at COSI, to catalyze new neighborhoods like RiverSouth and The Peninsula. In the 2022 Downtown Strategic Plan, the community made the priority clear: people. In 2023, Downtown Columbus, Inc., began immediately delivering what residents requested. Current projects include workforce housing Topiary Park Crossing, free programming at the Scioto Mile and Dorrian Green, shopping destination Common Thread, Dinner Dollars, phase II development of The Peninsula, public art initiatives, and development of the future Capital Line.

  • Last week, our president Amy Edwards Taylor talked about the power of partnership at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, joined by other speakers at Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Columbus Partnership, MORPC, and United Way of Central Ohio.?? ? “'Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.' Like most things that are easy to say, it can be difficult to do, but in Columbus, we work hard to make it happen. And most importantly, we expect it of each other." ? It's clear the success we’ve seen in the past 20 years of Downtown transformation has not been achieved alone, but through eager, collaborative spirit.
