As the largest Down syndrome support organization in Michigan, DSAWM serves more than 300 individuals with down syndrome; their families; and the educators, doctors and support professionals working with them. The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan invites you to apply for our Summer Stars Fieldwork/Internship. This role is perfect for students looking to fulfill their college program requirements in a dynamic, supportive, and mission-driven nonprofit environment. We're dedicated to enhancing the lives of our families within the Down syndrome community in West Michigan, and we need your help to make our Summer Stars program a success! The Summer Stars program offers a unique and engaging opportunity for kids with Down syndrome to continue learning, develop new skills, and build friendships throughout the summer. Through a variety of thoughtfully designed activities, including games, crafts, and outdoor play, the program helps children meet their IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals while supporting their overall development.   • ??Join our team! We are hiring for the DSAWM Executive Director Position. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of DSAWM. This leadership role requires a visionary, collaborative, and dynamic individual to advocate for the Down syndrome community, build relationships with stakeholders, and expand the organization's reach and impact. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners to fulfill DSAWM’s mission. Benefits: Beginning Salary of $62,000 with bonuses available.   • Congratulations to Katie and her husband on the birth of their son. In her absence, the staff, including Victoria Hart, and Executive Board will be leading the organization on an interim basis.
