These fantastic four showed up ready to serve, transforming one of our Empower Up client’s living rooms into a warm and welcoming space where she can relax and host her friends and family. The team thoughtfully placed artwork on the walls, added personal touches, and had a great time giving back to someone who worked hard to complete her Empowerment Training with us at Down Home. ??We are so excited to welcome Kaitlyn Schmeets to the Down Home team as our new Mission Support Specialist! ????Learn a little bit about Kaitlyn and help us welcome her to the team! "I grew up in West Fargo and have lived in the FM community for most of my life. I have two sweet fur-babies and a wonderful fiancé—we are getting married this May! During the spring, summer, and fall, I love being outdoors, whether I'm gardening, going on hikes and bike rides, or simply enjoying the sunshine in a patio chair. The winter months are for warm, cozy nights on the couch with my cats and fiancé. Before Down Home, I studied graphic design at MState and MSUM and after receiving my AAS and BFA in Graphic Design, I've been designing professionally and taking on freelance work for over seven years. I also have 10 years of experience in the restaurant and service industry! I've enjoyed all of the opportunities that my experiences have given me and I'm ready to use my customer service and design background to help Down Home and our community thrive. What excites me most about joining the Down Home team is the opportunity to contribute to a significant, positive impact on people's lives. My passion for serving others and directly helping those in need is what drew me to Down Home and their mission. I'm thrilled to be a part of it!"
