关于我们
There’s a reason two dozen people move to Douglas County, Colorado every day. The quality of life here is unmatched. Nestled along I-25 between Colorado’s two largest cities, Douglas County is both a magnet for successful business and a destination for outdoor adventure. This is by design. What you see in Douglas County today is the fruit of our County employees’ commitment. We keep our community safe. We keep our citizens moving, and we keep our economy growing – while protecting our historic and natural resources. We also take care of our most vulnerable – ensuring no one falls through the cracks. We hire good people and then get out of their way. Douglas County is recognized for being one of the most family-friendly and safe communities in Colorado. It’s also one of the healthiest. In 2021, Douglas County was named the second healthiest county in America, according to the 2021 Healthy Communities rankings by U.S. News and World Report, released in collaboration with the Aetna Foundation. Since 2011, Douglas County has ranked among the healthiest counties in Colorado, according to County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) analysis created by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The 43 men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office who don the uniform to serve specifically in the Douglas County School District work to build positive relationships with students and stay up to date on all the issues and challenges kids face in 2025.
