We were lucky enough to recently celebrate Jorge Garcia, for being rewarded with the "Heart of the House" award for The 2024 Sonoma County Tourism Stars. Jorge Garcia has been working as the Banquet Set-up Houseman for the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sonoma Wine Country in Rohnert Park for 23 years. He sets up, tears down, and resets for all the indoor and outdoor meetings and convention events. In addition, he sets dance floors, risers, and stages. Often, he has to turn a full ballroom set for dinner for 500 people into three separate meeting spaces with three different set-ups ready for group meetings early the following morning. Jorge has located missing items for guests, assisted with luggage, and even provided housekeeping duties when the hotel was short-staffed. Jorge goes above and beyond and always gets the job done, we are lucky to have him be apart of our team!
