Have you heard of Claude's Artifacts feature? It's a tool built right into Claude that lets you create standalone content, right alongside your conversation thread. It's great for creating long-form content like articles and blog posts, and you can even use it to create templates for documents you create all the time, like project proposals. We'll be talking about it tomorrow (3/25) during Office Hours, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific, and we'll show you how it works. After the demo, we'll open up the discussion to whatever YOU want to talk about. Web-based AI apps don't always act right. Sometimes they just won't do something you know they've done before, or seem to completely miss the point of your prompt, or completely forget something you just said moments ago. If your AI tools are acting out, here's a couple things you can try: ?? Refresh the Page If an AI app gets stuck, don’t keep trying the same thing without doing something different. Reload the page and try again, or sign out of your account and sign back in again. Better yet, close the browser and start a fresh session to reset the connection. ?? Clear Your Cache Browsers store temporary files that can occasionally cause hiccups. Clear your cache and cookies, then reopen the app. It can be a quick fix for a lot of unexpected web glitches, not just AI tools. ?? Try a Different Browser or Device Sometimes the problem isn’t the app, it’s your browser or device. Try switching to another browser, and always make sure you've updated your browser recently. ?? Retry Your Request If the AI generates something funky or stalls entirely, don’t panic. Simply rephrase your prompt, and/or request the output again. With so many different AI models out there, and new ones coming out every week, who has the time to try all of them and compare? If you're trying to make sense of which models are actually worth your time, check out the Chatbot Arena. It's a crowdsourced AI benchmarking platform where you can directly compare how different AI models perform on identical prompts -- no need to juggle multiple services or create countless accounts. You can pit models against each other either by letting the system randomly select two in "battle mode" (which is kind of fun), or specifically choosing which ones you want to compare in "side-by-side" mode. The best part, in my opinion? Your votes actually matter. The results are used to inform research from UC Berkeley SkyLab and LMArena. And, the data also feeds into an LLM Leaderboard that ranks the models based on ratings from actual users. The project has collected over 2 million votes so far, making it a solid data point for evaluating AI models in the wild.
