Last month, Louisiana DOTD Police’s command staff had the pleasure of attending the International Association of Chief’s of Police (IACP) Conference in Boston, MA. During this time, our staff learned invaluable tools and strategies to better our department. During their time in Boston, Executive Officer and Training Coordinator, Lt. Bergeron had the privilege of signing his name on a replica DUKW. In World War II, the US military used these amphibious vehicles to transport ammunition and supplies from their ships to land giving the US a tactical advantage that had never been seen before. On September 25th, DOTD Police Sergeants Bradley Osborn and Albert Johnson attended the Alcorn State University Job Fair to recruit the next generation of dedicated law enforcement professionals.
