关于我们

WHAT IS DOSOMETHING STRATEGIC? DSS is the consultancy arm of DoSomething.org—the largest organization for young people and social change. We leverage over 25 years and a proprietary behavioral database of millions of members taking action on the causes they care about to help our clients go beyond surface level purpose, impact, or engagement. WHY DOSOMETHING STRATEGIC? We believe that young people are changing the world as we speak, and that they’re redefining what it means for brands to lead with purpose. It’s hard to keep up, so we do it for you. We’ve built our expertise on years of data and real-time insights to engage young people to take action on their terms. From where to reach Gen Z to what they expect of brands and organizations today, our clients say we’re in a league of our own. WHO DO WE WORK WITH? Whether you are a brand eager to get more consumers and employees engaged in your mission to give back; a legacy brand unsure of how to navigate demands for transformative change; or an organization facing an aging member base—we craft bespoke strategies that break past the noise and drive growth.

Y’all know your Gen Z employees are the fastest growing segment of our electorate. Yet, 18-29 year olds are historically underrepresented in the voting population and we found that their biggest barrier to voting was not registering in time, not feeling informed enough or feeling unsure if their vote mattered. Let’s Do Something to change that! We’ve got your back with our new Election Readiness Cohort. Drawing on our track record of registering nearly 420,000 new voters since 2018 and equipping them with the tools to vote, we’re partnering with up to 7 organizations to ensure their employees are voter ready. The Election Readiness cohort will include: - A 60 minute voter ready presentation delivered to your employees - A branded voter registration page for employees to get registered and sign-up for election reminders - Data on the number of voter registrations your organization accrues - White labeled resources including a voter scorecard to help them prepare for election day - Toolkit for your People & Culture team to recruit employees to participate and promote the program across your organization Book a call with us to learn more and sign up by Friday Oct. 4th. Pricing starts at $5,000 for nonprofits and $7,500 for corporations. https://lnkd.in/gavwrSXp

“76% of young people are actively looking for ways to help the causes they care about but 1/3 of them don’t know where to begin. That’s 17 million young people. There’s an opportunity to work differently alongside young people to make change and for brands to engage them.” Our associate director of strategy, Walker Post, shared our recent findings and insight on an episode of Dr. Elizabeth C. Nelson's Real Rebellious Research! Post and Nelson explore: - how his work is influenced by his unique position being between two generations (Gen Z and Millennials) - the consumer differences between those two generations - how and why brands should co-create impact with Gen Z - employee engagement best practices for this emerging generation Give the episode a listen here! https://lnkd.in/e72ZUC8s Smart Building Collective | Certification

While most Gen Z and brands agree that aligning business and social interests is essential, there is a disconnect between what Gen Z expects from brands and what they are actually doing. We unpack this in our What Gen-Z Wants: Brands & Social Impact Final Report where we surveyed 1,200 young people and 100+ brand leaders to see how the perspectives of both line up. Here's a sneak peek: - Only 15% of Gen Z respondents believed that brands met or exceeded their expectations for social impact, compared to 58% of brand leaders who believed they were achieving this goal.? - Only 13% of Gen Z feel as though they are adequately involved in shaping brands' social impact efforts, compared to the 42% of brand leaders who think they are adequately involving Gen Z.? Get more insights like these and reach out to explore what this means for your brand. https://lnkd.in/eFCwikt6
