DASNY is always looking to stay on the cutting edge for its clients. This week, President Robert Rodriguez was able to see how modular construction is transforming the service potential at Odyssey House, a NYS OASAS provider agency. In 2010 DASNY began exploring the utilization of modular construction to serve agencies and organizations across New York and has completed multiple projects in that time. Now, in New York City, DASNY is managing the expansion of the George Rosenfeld Center for Recovery. This three-story, 22,500 sq. ft., expansion consists of 71 modular units. Beginning in December 2023, the project will be completed in the Summer of 2025, saving 12 months over traditional construction.

Today, DASNY’s President Robert Rodriguez met with Odyssey House President Peter Provet, Ph.D., and other leaders on Wards Island and toured the construction of the expansion of their main residential treatment facility, which is slated to open in the summer of 2025. The new annex project, managed by DASNY, will add 60 additional beds to support Odyssey House’s vital recovery programs for adults, women with children, and seniors. With a focus on integrative care for both substance use and mental health disorders, Odyssey House is making a difference in the lives of so many. Veterans Grant Opportunity! Governor Hochul has announced a technical assistance webinar for veterans' organizations, scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, in preparation for the upcoming third round of the Veterans Nonprofit Capital Grant Program (VNCP). ICYMI: Earlier this month, DASNY President Robert Rodriguez toured Lehman College with President Dr. Fernando Delgado and Senior Vice President of Administration & Finance Rene M. Rotolo. DASNY managed the design and construction of the college's new state-of-the-art Nursing Education, Research, and Practice Center (NERPC). Sustainability is always a key part of DASNY projects. For the NERPC, DASNY oversaw the installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation system on the reflective SBS membrane roof. Approximately 22% of the roof is covered with PV panels, generating a total of 43.2 kW of clean energy for the building. ????
