We are in awe of how quickly this community came together to make sure Barrett gets the care he desperately needed. ?? SHOT & LEFT TO SUFFER ?? Barrett’s only 2 years old. He should be enjoying the world, but instead, he’s lying in a kennel, waiting for his miracle. A Good Samaritan found him on the side of the road, helpless and broken, just down the street from our shelter. At first, we thought maybe he’d just been in an accident, but X-rays told a much more disturbing story: Barrett wasn’t hurt by a fall—he was shot. Someone pulled the trigger, and Barrett was left to suffer. His hope for a future free from pain is urgent offsite orthopedic surgery to repair his shattered leg. The cost? $3,000. The reality? Our shelter is drowning in major medical cases. We won’t let Barrett down. We just need your help. Barrett’s spirit, however, is unbroken. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s still kind, sweet, and full of love. Every gentle touch, every moment of comfort, brings him joy.
