On Thursday, March 13th, history was made at the City of Doral Police Department Swearing-In and Promotional Ceremony! Doral Police proudly welcomed eight newly sworn-in police officers, along with the promotions of a chaplain, two executive officers, a major, four commanders, a sergeant-at-arms, and a sergeant. This momentous occasion also marked a historic milestone as Alicia Neal was sworn in as the first-ever female Deputy Chief of Police in the history of the Doral Police Department. We congratulate them all and wish them a safe and successful tenure as they continue to protect and serve our community with dedication and integrity.

The City of Doral proudly announces the promotion of Eylin F. to Information Technology Director. ? With a strong background in IT operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure development, Eylin has been a key player in modernizing the city’s technology landscape. She has been instrumental in leading significant initiatives such as cloud migrations, network security enhancements, and enterprise system upgrades. Eylin holds an MBA in IT Management, a CGCIO certification, and a Six Sigma Black Belt, contributing a wealth of expertise to her leadership role. Her commitment to innovation and efficiency will continue to drive the city’s digital transformation and improve services for our community.

Exciting News for the City of Doral! We are thrilled to welcome Linda Blanco, CBO, CFM, MCP, as our new Building Official & Floodplain Administrator. With an impressive career spanning over three decades in building code compliance, inspections, and public service, Ms. Blanco brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our Building Department. Her expertise in code enforcement, floodplain management, and professional development will ensure that Doral continues to uphold the highest standards of safety and service for our community. A special thank you to Jane Decker, CBO, AIA, CFM, for her dedicated service as Interim Building Official over the past few months while continuing her role as Building Director. Over the past year, the team oversaw nearly $1 billion in construction value, completed 24,700+ inspections, and provided outstanding customer service to our community.
