Growth Advisor. Podcast: Don't Say Content. Author: B2B Content Marketing Strategy [coming Fall '25].
Have you've been caught in a marketing "emergency" at work and what happened and is everyone OK? I'm being a cheeky here, but I do genuinely want to know if folks have opinions, reactions or stories related to this topic: "There's no such thing as a content marketing emergency." Margaret and I are doing an episode on this topic for Don't Say Content and I'm curious what other folks think about this, but I can't figure out a specific question to ask you. In lieu of a guiding prompt, I'm soliciting opinions, feelings, stories - just curious to hear what ya'll think about this, if at all. Ideally something more than agree or disagree. What comes to mind for me is this time I worked at a startup that released a big update to the app that made it appear to users like all their data was gone. There were 5M users (MAUs in the low hundreds of k users, I think) and our 3-person support team (including me) were inundated with thousands of code red panic emails, DMs - one person even called me on the phone! Anyway, in that scenario, content did end up being a lifesaver to building back trust with our users over the following few weeks. Not exactly an emergency - no one's life was on the line - but definitely a big deal for the company and me at the time. Anyway, please share whatever comes to your mind, including if you think the topic is boring :)
