The impact of a #tornado can vary dramatically, even within one neighborhood. These events can cause anything from minor cosmetic damage to extensive structural damage. ??? Uplift, a form of structural damage, can occur when tornado winds sweep over a building’s roof, creating a strong lifting force. Another structural loss to look for in your tornado-related #claims is "racking." Under the force of horizontal wind pressure, a structure can begin to tilt. This phenomenon pushes a building’s structural components out of plumb. These same forces can also cause a structure to slide off its foundation – an event aptly called “sliding."
