On March 27, at 1:30 we will celebrate groundbreaking of the Marshall L. Shepard Recreation Center at 5700 Haverford Ave. Domus has been engaged in preconstruction services for the past two years and is excited to see this project come to fruition. The existing recreation center will be renovated including all new mechanical systems, computer lab, exercise and weight rooms, and a new boxing ring. Congratulations to the entire development team. This revised facility will provide for a safe environment for the local residents with much needed improved facilities.

Good Shepherd Senior Housing is now upright and showing progress every week. Domus Construction in partnership with Pennrose Management is proud to build this apartment building which will serve as an anchor on busy Lansdowne Avenue in Philadelphia!

Domus was recently contracted with the County of Montgomery to restore the Nationally historically certified Sunrise Grist Mill.?Located in Montgomery County, Pa. the mill was built in 1767 and enlarged in 1819. ?The gristmill originally operated using an internal waterwheel system that ran off the adjacent creek, later being converted to run off of turbine power.

Domus Inc is nearing substantial completion of Old First House which will provide thirty-four permanent supportive homes for formerly homeless individuals in the city’s highest income zip code. Located at the corner of 4th and Race Streets in historic Old City, the project is a partnership between Old First Reformed United Church of Christ who donated the land, and Community Ventures, Inc who specializes in developing low-incoming housing and collaborating with local community groups. An exciting part of the project included relocating a historic rowhouse dating to the 1760s approximately 50’ to the south which has been renovated and incorporated into the new building. The design by O Z Collaborative blends in seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood and will be a source of pride for the community.?Domus Inc is proud to serve as the general contractor.

Concrete foundations and underground storm structures are being installed at Abigail Pankey Apartments in the Mantua Neighborhood of Philadelphia. The project consists of 32 two-bedroom and three-bedroom affordable apartments for families with children.
