Today, we are proud to highlight Leah, an exceptional resident intern at the Oaks at New Hope in Lawrenceville, Georgia. As part of the Leasing Pathway program, Leah has excelled in her experience, her dedication, professionalism and strong work ethic have set her apart. Leah has become an integral member of the leasing team, managing her responsibilities with efficiency and a positive attitude. A few of her key accomplishments include organizing and maintain renewal files, assisting prospective residents with professionalism over the phone and maintaining a clean and welcoming leasing office environment for residents and visitors. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Community Manager Crumpton (CPM, CPHM) and the team at Oaks at New Hope for their guidance and mentorship. Their commitment to developing people has played a significant role in Leah’s growth and success, exemplifying Dominium’s core value of Developing People. Beyond her internship, Leah is a driven sophomore at Central Gwinnett High School, with a wide range of aspirations. She is currently exploring career paths in interior design, mental health therapy, real estate and esthetics. Leah’s family has been a valued part of the Oaks at New Hope community for nearly five years, since relocating to Lawrenceville with her mother and brother. Last week, we held our annual Property Management Excellence ceremony. A dedicated group of Dominium team members in Orlando volunteered their time to prepare a meal for families staying at Fisher House, a place of comfort and support for military and veterans’ families. Fisher House Foundation provides a “home away from home” at no cost to families while their loved ones receive medical care at major military and VA medical centers nationwide. Each Fisher House, located near a hospital or medical center, offers up to 21 suites with private bedrooms and baths, as well as shared spaces such as a kitchen, dining room and living area. Since 1990, the Fisher House Foundation has supported over 455,000 military and veterans’ families, saving them an estimated $575 million in lodging and transportation costs. Thank you to our Florida team members for supporting this meaningful cause and making a difference in housing and communities in need. This week, Dominium proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of Matlock Flats in Arlington, Texas. This vibrant, garden-style community brings 192 high-quality affordable homes to families, featuring 108 two-bedroom and 84 three-bedroom apartments. We extend our appreciation to City of Arlington Mayor Jim Ross for attending and speaking, along with Senior Vice President and Project Partner Jeff Spicer, Development Associate David D'Amelio and Development Analyst Scott M. Kim. His journey is a testament to the power of community and connection: "Before I found Magnolia Court Apartments, my life was in a vulnerable and precarious state. I had lost my sense of direction and purpose, feeling like a ship adrift at sea. My resources were limited, and meaningful human connections were scarce. The loss of a loved one had shattered my world, making hope feel like a distant dream. However, the moment I stepped through the doors of Magnolia Court, everything changed. The staff was nothing short of incredible. With their unwavering support and encouragement, I began to open up. Magnolia Court became more than just a place to live—it became my home. To the amazing staff and residents of Magnolia Court, your kindness and support have been my guiding light. Each of you has played an integral role in my recovery and newfound purpose. Your faith in me has reignited my faith in myself, and for that, I am eternally grateful.” This past summer, Magnolia Court continued fostering that sense of community by hosting a summer camp for children whose families may not have the resources for traditional camps or vacations. Inspired by the support he received, Lawrence, alongside our dedicated staff, helped organize an educational program filled with engaging activities—creating a meaningful and enriching experience for the children. We're thrilled to share that Dominium, alongside our banking, investment and local government partners, recently broke ground on Sage at Franklin Park, a 276-unit development in Austin, Texas. Designed to support families, Sage at Franklin will feature a variety of amenities, including a clubhouse, a food security station with fresh produce, a pool with outdoor spaces, a community garden and a free tutoring service tailored to residents’ needs. The community, built by WD Construction, will offer 108 two-bedroom, 96 three-bedroom and 72 four-bedroom apartments. We extend our gratitude to Austin Mayor Pro Tem Vanessa Fuentes for attending and speaking at the event, along with Senior Vice President and Central Development Lead Ryan Lunderby, Senior Development Associate Austin Holmes, and Development Associate Lilly Deprey. On Thursday, February 27, Dominium hosted a special virtual panel in honor of Black History Month, which runs the month of February. The 60-minute event was moderated by Vice President and Project Partner Katessa Archer and featured panelists, Regional Maintenance Manager Darron B. Vice President of Property Management Shequoia Holloway, CAPS , CAPS, Development Associate Austin Holmes and Development Analyst Alexa Abbott . Panelists shared their unique experiences and perspectives on the real estate industry while reflecting on Black luminaries in affordable housing. Attendees were encouraged to participate by sharing their thoughts and questions in the chat, making it an interactive session that underscored the importance of diversity within Dominium and the broader industry.
