Did you know that out of nearly 800 babies born at Dominican Hospital each year, around 25% require intensive neonatal care? That's about 175-200 little ones each year!?Our NICU is not just a clinical unit; it’s a first "home" for newborns and a supportive haven for parents during challenging times. For over 24 years, our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has been dedicated to caring for our tiniest patients. As the only Level III facility in Santa Cruz County, our NICU is equipped with 14 beds, two isolation rooms, and a team of expert neonatologists from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.
