Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities are being unjustly targeted through executive orders that seek to dismantle critical DEI policies. Our communities have long been the backbone of the U.S. economy, enriching this nation with our labor, culture, and resilience. Yet, instead of recognition and respect, we are met with policies that undermine our rights and dignity. In response, the Latino Freeze Movement (LFM) and Target Fast have emerged as a powerful act of economic resistance against these injustices. Inspired by the legacy of past civil rights movements, we are leveraging our collective power to demand change. We join the call urging our communities to cease spending at Target and all corporations that have abandoned Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. This is a stand for justice, equity, and the recognition of our communities’ invaluable contributions.
