关于我们
Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is a 10,000-acre slice of alluring Ozarks paradise offering hiking, biking, Segway tours, wildlife tram tours, horseback riding, and trout fishing. The vision of Bass Pro Shops founder/CEO Johnny Morris, the property serves as an outdoor playground that inspires visitors to get involved in wildlife conservation. The natural beauty of the park includes towering bluffs, waterfalls, creek beds, handcrafted bridges and wildlife such as American bison, Rocky Mountain elk and white-tailed deer. Dogwood Canyon Nature Park recently received its largest renovation to date, and in 2016 opened a fully restored working gristmill, restaurant, conservation center, and stables facility with a rider’s lounge. The park also features a treehouse built by Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters. For more information, visit www.dogwoodcanyon.org.

?? FALL FOLIAGE UPDATE ?? Peak fall has arrived at Dogwood Canyon! The trees are still offering vibrant hues throughout the canyon despite the wind and this morning's light rain. If you don't have your visit scheduled yet, plan to join us this weekend to ensure you get to see the leaves at their most beautiful. We hope to see you out in the canyon soon!

?? FALL FOLIAGE UPDATE ??? We've seen a lot of leaves changing color in the last week thanks to the drop in temperatures in the area. While the colors are beautiful, their time on the trees is short-lived due to the dry weather we've had recently. We expect the remaining leaves to turn quickly and fall faster, so we recommend scheduling your visit to the canyon soon! Purchase admission and tour tickets in advance to ensure your spot: dogwoodcanyon.org/tickets

?? FALL FOLIAGE TRACKER ?? Our fall foliage tracker is here! We are starting to see fall colors touch the tips of our trees and some leaves are already making the descent to the ground. We'll keep everyone updated on the colors as the month continues. While we can't know for sure, we'd expect to see our peak fall colors in a couple weeks.

Happy World Rivers Day! Do you know why the water at Dogwood Canyon is a beautiful blue-green color? The stunning turquoise color is from limestone! There's a lot of science that goes into it, but the simple fact is that the river water breaks down the limestone rock into tiny crystals that then reflect the color when hit by the sun. Limestone bedrock occurs in most parts of Missouri which is why many of the streams and rivers in the southwest part of the state show off this marvel of nature. Experience this extraordinary sight when you travel along our 6.2 miles of paved trails that follow Little Indian Creek through the canyon! We look forwarding to having you.

Did you know one in five children in southwest Missouri worry about where their next meal is coming from? Today, Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium and Dogwood Canyon Nature Park were proud to take part in the 26th annual Hungerthon, benefiting Ozarks Food Harvest. Hosted by Ozarks Food Harvest and iHeartRadio Springfield, the radiothon raised funds for The Food Bank’s Weekend Backpack Program, which provides children facing hunger with nutritious meals and snacks to take home every weekend during the school year. In rural Ozarks communities and school districts, programs like these are crucial in addressing the needs of children and ensuring they have access to nutritious meals. I’m proud to be part of an organization, led by an incredible leadership team, that is deeply committed to supporting our local community and making a lasting, positive impact on future generations.
