关于我们
The Do Good Institute serves as the catalyst to transform the University of Maryland into the nation’s first Do Good Campus, where students are inspired to take action and spur innovations and solutions that tackle today’s social issues. The Institute, housed in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, provides education, opportunities and resources to develop the next generation of nonprofit leaders, social innovators and civic-minded students. Today’s college students are more passionate about social issues than ever before and are looking for ways to get involved and make a difference. As a result, demand for social impact education and experiences is at its highest point in decades, but opportunities to get involved are not widely available on most college campuses. Do Good Institute believes that all students are capable of creating effective change, making a powerful impact and innovating creative solutions to our world’s most pressing challenges.

?? Join us in empowering student changemakers on Giving Day! ?? At the Do Good Institute, we believe in the power of students to create real, lasting change. Thanks to the support of our incredible community, we've been able to: ? Support ~120 changemakers and student groups through the Do Good Accelerator and Mini-Grants, providing critical seed funding, mentorship, and resources. ? Place nearly 90 students in paid nonprofit internships last summer—on track to surpass that this year—allowing students to gain hands-on experience while nonprofits receive much-needed capacity support. ? Distribute $450,000+ in grants through the Do Good Campus Fund, fueling 27 innovative projects across UMD that address critical social challenges. Each student we support amplifies impact beyond our campus, creating ripples of change in local and global communities. ???? On March 5, during UMD Giving Day, we invite you to help us continue this work by making a gift to the Do Good Institute Startup Fund. Your support—big or small—fuels the next generation of changemakers. If giving isn’t possible right now, your encouragement and advocacy mean just as much. Together, we’re building a campus where tomorrow’s leaders start making a difference today. Thank you for being part of this journey! https://lnkd.in/du9S34F #DoGood #UMD #SocialImpact #Changemakers#GivingDayUMD
