We are very proud that?WYCUP scholar, Alysia Smith, joined the?“Global Perspectives on Credit Union Advocacy” session at the?Washington Convention Center. She shared invaluable knowledge on key regulatory issues shaping credit unions worldwide, especially in her native country, Australia ??? ???“We had our tax exemption removed in 1994. At that time, we had around 400 different credit unions. Today we have 55, and that is no coincidence.”?– she shares. Her insights highlighted how international policy changes can have lasting ripple effects on the credit union movement. ??
