Did you know that a ton equates to 2,000 pounds? ?? This year, Dog & Whistle rescued over 1 ton of food, making a significant impact in feeding more dogs and bringing joy to their pet parents. As we reflect on 2024, we’re incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made. But we’re not stopping here. In our hometown of Las Vegas, we’ve set an ambitious goal for 2025: to triple that amount and make an even bigger difference in the lives of our furry friends and their families. From snapping festive photos curated by Jess Rodriguez with my furry friends to maybe causing a little mischief (hehe), it was a paw-some day! ???? But what warmed my heart the most? We wanted to take a moment today to share our backstory and founding journey. Dog and Whistle was founded by Eric Adams with a mission to provide dogs with wholesome, high-quality meals while creating a positive impact on the planet. The idea for Dog and Whistle began when Eric started examining the ingredient labels of the food he fed his own dog. He realized that these meals contained low-quality ingredients and were largely devoid of essential vitamins. Determined to make a change, Eric set out to create his own dog food using natural, human-grade ingredients. The results were immediate—his dog showed elevated energy levels, a healthier coat, and an improved attitude. As neighbors and friends noticed the transformation, they began asking Eric to prepare meals for their dogs, marking the grassroots beginnings of Dog and Whistle. Eric was committed to making his dog food not only nutritious but also ecologically sustainable, giving rise to the idea of an eco-friendly and nutritious dog food brand. To extend this vision, Eric created Le Pup Café, a unique community space in Las Vegas for dog lovers to gather. At Le Pup Café, dogs could enjoy sustainable meals in a welcoming environment. The café was inspired by the late Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, who championed the idea of "serendipitous collisions." Loki was discovered at A Path for Paws, a rescue organization where his gentle, quiet demeanor almost caused him to be overlooked. As his now-family was about to leave, they spotted him one last time—and just like that, they knew he was the one. Once home, Loki’s reserved nature gave way to his true personality: an energetic, playful, and loving pup whose infectious charm brightens every day. ???? Loki’s Favorites Outdoor Adventures: Loki lives for long walks and exploring the great outdoors. ?? Toy Time: Loki has a special talent for tearing his toys to pieces—his humans keep him well-stocked so he can enjoy this favorite pastime. ???? Loki’s Dog & Whistle Favorites Loki has a special place in his heart (and belly!) for our Le Pup Café. He’s a big fan of our Salmon Jerky and can’t resist the Sirloin Bowl with Veggies. His family often brings him for “doggie date nights,” where Loki indulges in his favorite treats and enjoys the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the café. We are so happy that our cafe and products give a dog with such an inspiring backstory joy and happy to have Loki as part of our dog and whistle community.
