?????? Are you familiar with those “I need it fixed ASAP” messages??I have a client who unwittingly broke their existing PDF generation tool and needed it fixed yesterday. I reached out to the existing provider’s support… and days later, I’m still waiting for a proper reply. ? ?? Having used DocsAutomator with great success on other projects, I decided it would be faster to move the client to this amazing tool. Rupert Arnold Hoffschmidt-McDonnell from Docs Automator didn’t just answer my setup questions in seconds; he went above and beyond to help me build what was a tricky Google Docs template. ?? If you need reliable PDF generation from Airtable data with actual support when you need it, I can’t recommend Docs Automator enough!?Check them out here: https://lnkd.in/eMVskuR6 As I told Rupert, I put Docs Automator on the same pedestal as Noloco, Fillout and Make when it comes to the ‘holy trinity’ of Airtable integrations. I guess I need to change my terminology now that I have four tools on my pedestal …. chatGPT suggests ‘Holy Tetrad or Celestial Quaternity’.?Thoughts? Do you want to give your business a 'productivity kick' with PDFs generated automatically from Airtable? ?? Drop me a line at [email protected] to arrange a complimentary 30-minute consultation. *** The best time to improve your business processes was a year ago. The second-best time is today. *** #docsautomator #noloco #airtable #fillout #productivityimprovement #efficiencyboost #businessautomation

July #BIP report for DocsAutomator ?? Generally a strong month in terms of daily active users, new subscribers and plan upgrades (I stopped sharing numbers a few months ago for various reasons). Unfortunately also a lot of churn for various reasons. Unusual high amount of declined cards. Temporary cancellations because of summer. Few learnings / plans / mistakes: 1. Onboarding survey: Incredible no brainer to ask new users a few questions after sign up. ?? ?? Should've done that from day 1. I now ask people what they're planning to automate, who they are, how they've heard about DocsAutomator, which data sources they intend to use, if they have a template already and how many documents they want to automate. 2. Started doing 1 week coding / 1 week marketing as per suggestion from Darragh Mc Kay. Focusing on Marketing, when you're inexperienced at it, is hard. It's not even that I don't enjoy it, I'm just inexperienced and a lot of things are not in place. Went down a rabbit hole of setting up cold outreach, to realize that I should just "start doing things that don't scale" first. I've more thoughts about this and try to share more Marketing related stuff in general. 3. Wanted to use Intercom AI for customer support and realized it's not a good idea to stop talking to users / customers in my stage. Went back to Crisp IM and am very happy about it. More thoughts on using AI in customer support a few posts back. 4. Got nervous over an increase in bugs in the Google Drive API. A few months ago, I migrated to a lower Google Drive access scope which introduced a few issues. Now thinking about requesting more from users again and currently in the process of going through security assessment with Google. 5. Started using Bento (https://bentonow.com) for emails and love it so far. Incredible customer service. Shows once again that small companies can crush it. I haven't started using Bento because the founder is a fellow indie hacker, but because the product is amazing, has great customer support and people say really good things about it. Happy August everyone, keep growing!

New website for DocsAutomator! ?? ?? I'm stoked to share DocsAutomator's new website, designed and built by my longtime friend Julian Koch, who has been a close friend of mine since 5th grade, so for 25 years! ?? This is actually the first major project for DocsAutomator that I haven't handled personally and I love the result! Julian did an amazing job, as he had done already designing DocsAutomator's web app last year ?? Would love to get your feedback on it and hear what you think: https://docsautomator.co/
