It’s time to take a stand! Sign our petition to stop Medicare cuts for physicians. https://lnkd.in/gdt3kdXg Why is it that physicians are the only group who are experiencing Medicare cuts in the recent publication by the AMA? According to the report, hospital inpatient, LTC hospitals, hospital outpatient, and hospice all received increases in reimbursement at or above the inflation rate which ranges from 3.1% to 3.3%. The AMA goes on to show that physicians have an even higher rate of inflation than all other groups but were forced to take a 3.4% cut. While other healthcare providers have seen updates to their Medicare reimbursements in 2024 to keep pace with inflation, physicians have been left out in the cold. This alarming discrepancy threatens to destabilize our healthcare system at a time when we can least afford it. We cannot sit idly by as physicians face mounting financial pressures that jeopardize the quality and accessibility of care. By signing this petition, you’re not just advocating for fair compensation for doctors; you’re standing up for the health and well-being of our communities. Now is the time to act decisively to ensure that Medicare reimbursements for physicians are not only preserved but increased to reflect the invaluable contributions they make to our nation’s health. Together, we can protect healthcare access for all and build a healthier, more equitable future.

DocNation reached out to Dr. Brian Rich to get his exclusive take on the recent delay by the House Ways and Means Committee in addressing key healthcare legislation. This postponement stems from scheduling conflicts and disagreements over legislative language, likely pushing adjustments to Medicare physician payments, surprise billing, and rural health legislation until after the presidential election. “Physicians may have a small window of opportunity to make their voices heard,” Dr. Rich says. He sees this delay as a chance for physician advocates to rally against ongoing Medicare cuts. Physicians are now facing another potential 2.8% cut to Medicare payments in 2025, amidst rising inflation, staffing shortages, and increased administrative burdens. Join DocNation today to stand with physicians like Dr. Rich and many others who are fighting back against the declining healthcare landscape. The more voices we have, the stronger we become in securing a sustainable future for healthcare. Together, we can make a difference. #PhysicianAdvocacy?#MedicareCuts?#HealthcareReform?#DocNation
