Maria Cecilia Hospital, situated in Cotignola, Italy and part of GVM Care & Research, is launching a digital operational project in their neurology ward. The project will introduce our digital solution to streamline cleaning services, providing an overview of tasks, assignment management, and rapid response to urgent cleaning needs. This will allow the Cleaning Manager to assign tasks to cleaning staff, who will receive them and report directly via their smartphones. This will help better organise and streamline the workflow. Recurring cleaning tasks will also be scheduled in DNV Imatis, ensuring that daily cleaning assignments are automatically added to the operators’ work list. We look forward to working with Maria Cecilia Hospital on this project, with the goal of expanding the solution to four GVM Care & Research hospitals by the end of the year. #GVM #GVMcareresearch #digitalhospital

Thank you for two engaging days at EHiN 2024! Highlights included; ??A shared push for e-health exports?? There was clear consensus on the international potential of Norwegian e-health. Innovation Norway highlighted the need to build a strong "national team" of export-ready businesses while also nurturing a "junior team" of new innovators. To succeed internationally, Norwegian health tech must present a unified front, with Innovation Norway supporting strategic market access and coordinated branding for Norwegian healthcare abroad. ??Digital inclusion ?? Our goal is for all our solutions to meet universal design standards so that no one is left behind. Alongside other organisations, we discussed how we develop accessible solutions across various platforms, working closely with clients to meet diverse needs and support hospital workflows effectively. ??A seamless patient journey ?? DNV Imatis presented solutions that simplify the patient journey for outpatient visits, prompting us to question whether there is, in fact, any real difference between physical and virtual appointments in such settings. Since 2019, over 3 million patients in Western Norway Regional Health Authority have checked in and paid digitally. Preliminary data from the South-Eastern region shows a notable decrease in 'no show' rates, leading to substantial cost savings. We’re thrilled to see the Silent Hospital Project at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust featured on ITV News West Country! This initiative on the postnatal ward, driven by DNV Imatis’ platform integrated with the Wandsworth Healthcare nurse call system has led to a more peaceful environment for mothers and babies, making a real difference in patient recovery and satisfaction. ?? By silencing call bells and routing alerts directly to staff smartphones, the project has significantly reduced noise levels, supporting better sleep quality and fostering a calmer atmosphere. As the Deputy Director of Midwifery explains, this shift has taken the ward from “chaotic” to one of “air and calm,” a visibly notable change. ? This quieter environment, with mothers and babies able to get more rest, has contributed to measurable improvements, including a confirmed 0.5-day reduction in the Average Length of Stay (ALOS). ?? Delighted that our Silent Hospital pilot project was featured on Itv West Country news last week. We're working with the New Hospital Programme and smart solution partners to trial transformative ways to improve the experience and wellbeing of patients and staff on our wards, in preparation for our new Women and Children's Hospital. The Silent Hospital evaluation has been looking at how silencing patient call bells can help new parents and babies on our post-natal ward get better quality rest and more sleep, and hence enabling faster recovery times and earlier discharges. The early feedback and data is really promising, so much so that the trial is being expanded and extended over the next 12 months. Watch the film to find out more...
