We are excited to be part of a community dedicated to food education, and attending Pilot Light's Feed Your Mind Gala was a true highlight for us. As proud partners in the SnackTime Explorers program for FFVP-funded schools, we were eager to celebrate all the innovative ways Pilot Light incorporates their 7 Food Education Standards into K-12 curricula. This year's event was a tremendous success! Hosted by Antonti Porowski of the Netflix series, "Queer Eye," Pilot Light raised $680,000 to fund educational initiatives that promote food education and healthy eating habits for children. This year's SNAM Annual Conference, themed "The Magic of School Nutrition," was incredible! ???? We dedicated this time to connecting with school nutrition professionals throughout Michigan and building an understanding of how to effectively utilize the USDA's FFVP funding in schools. ??Exciting news! The Foundation for Fresh Produce announced its 2025 board members at the Global Produce & Floral Show in Atlanta last month. Alex DiNovo, DNO's President and COO will continue on as Past Chair while Dwight Ferguson takes the helm as Chair. DiNovo's leadership set a strong foundation for growth, emphasizing the importance of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption for better health. Marissa and Bailey had an incredible experience representing us at the Indiana School Nutrition Association's Annual Conference! We showcased a selection of our fresh-cut samples, including watermelon radish, and engaged in valuable discussions with key food service professionals from across the state. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and share insights on nutrition and food service excellence! We also had the opportunity to share our Snacktime Explorers program with an enthusiastic crowd. Marissa and Christine, an educator from Crown Point Community Schools, led the presentation, offering valuable tips to help school nutrition professionals streamline FFVP snack time.
