Of over 1000 nominees for The Earthshot Prize this year, more than 400 were businesses from Africa. Innovation and ingenuity is everywhere across the continent, with a range of organisations championing groundbreaking solutions that tackle the climate and energy access challenges facing communities. d.light was one of three Africa-based organisations who made the shortlist of 15 finalists for the 2024 Earthshot Prize. d.light’s beginnings, its positive impact on people’s everyday lives and livelihoods, and its ongoing mission to transform the lives of one billion people by 2030, were featured in this month’s issue of Travel Africa magazine.
