With a family legacy that began over?50?years ago,?Leon Walker?grew inspired watching his parents build a daycare to help working families on the Southside. He quickly believed he, too, could make an impact. After graduating from the?University of Chicago?with both a Master’s in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate, Leon spent years honing his skills in global banking and commercial real estate. Ultimately, the call of Chicago drew him back home to embrace the values his parents instilled—being a helping hand to the community. This exciting revitalization project, in partnership with Riverside Investment & Development Company and AmTrustRE, aims to transform downtown into a more equitable, economically vibrant, and livable area that will serve as an engine for growth and opportunity throughout all of Chicago's neighborhoods. We understand the significance of this historic building, and we’re excited about its future potential. ? The LaSalle Street Building Reimagined will offer the most affordable housing units in the downtown area, an 80,000-square-foot retail anchor, and high-quality amenities for residents to live, work, and play. ? The next step? The project will go before the Chicago City Council for final approval, and once approved, the renovation process will begin. ?
