We’re thrilled to share that this year’s?Artful?Harvest raised over?$275,000?to support the Djerassi Resident Artists Program! Held on October 20, 2024, and set against the breathtaking backdrop of Woodside’s hills, the evening brought together 130 wonderful guests who celebrated with us through art, performance, and a fantastic meal by Michelin-starred restaurant 'The Village Pub'. The evening included a lively auction, where Christie’s auctioneer Andrew Lueck energized the room. One of the highlights was an exclusive package featuring two tickets to?MCNEAL, a Broadway play by Djerassi alum and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar, starring Robert Downey Jr. in his debut on the Broadway stage. With captivating performances by Pulitzer Prize-winning author?Viet Thanh Nguyen, composer?Pamela Z, and climate scientist?Rob Jackson, plus an art gallery featuring 15 of our alumni, the night was unforgettable. Co-chaired by Dale Djerassi, Sally Fay, and Elaine Mellis, the event showcased the vibrant community and passionate support that help us sustain this beloved residency. We are pleased to announce that applications for our 2025 Artists in Residence program will open August 12th and remain available through September 12th, 2024. The Djerassi Resident Artists Program offers four and five-week residencies to artists across all disciplines, including visual arts, media arts, music composition, choreography, literary arts, and science. Designed as a retreat, our program provides an environment for personal creative work and fosters collegial interaction within a supportive community of artists. Residents will be provided with private studio, lodging-space, and chef-prepared meals. We welcome applications from emerging and mid-career artists, for whom a residency could significantly impact their careers, as well as established artists with national and international reputations. Applications are reviewed by panels of distinguished arts professionals specific to each discipline. Summer Sculpture Hikes at Djerassi Every Sunday from June 9 to August 18, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program offers guided hikes through the 500+ acre property.
