Good news—you’ve got a second chance! Our Confident on Camera Masterclass was supposed to start last week… but thanks to a scheduling shift, we kick off TOMORROW, March 12—so if you thought you missed your shot, you didn’t. You know video is key for thought leadership and brand growth. But knowing isn’t doing. If you’ve been hesitating—overthinking, overcomplicating, or just plain avoiding video—this is your moment. ? Four sessions to get you recording with confidence ? A repeatable strategy to make video part of your routine ? 2-10 recorded videos ready to post at the course's conclusion By this time next month, you’ll finally have a video presence that works for you. **If you attend all the sessions and do all the homework (don't worry -- it's totally doable)- you will get a bonus 30 minute 1:1 session with me, Julie Michelle Morris, or David Morris (about video, personal branding, thought leadership, or LinkedIn). But this really is last call— info for how to join us here: https://lnkd.in/ekXr2p94

59% of LinkedIn users are on iPhone over the weekend. If your content isn’t built for them, your pipeline is already at risk. I ran a quick poll. 143 votes. 59% said they are on LinkedIn on an iPhone on Sunday. You know you do, too… even at the beach. ?? If your content strategy isn’t shaped by user behavior like this first, it’s not a social media problem. It’s a pipeline problem. I want you to be aggressive on social strategy. Social isn’t a bulletin board for the events you’re hosting or the last step in your marketing process. Social is where you build demand. Where you create interest before the ask. Where you make your brand matter before you ever sell. Where do we go wrong? … We build content for company priorities, not for user behavior. … We wait for metric proof to validate what should already be happening in real time. … We hesitate to shift. Someone else gets there first. So what do you do if the majority of users are on iPhone on the weekend, scrolling LinkedIn to see what their network is doing? — Make content that excites, inspires, and moves people. Every piece has to earn its place. — If 59% of your audience is on iPhone, your creative is built for mobile-first. Period. — Stop training users to skip your content. Social isn’t a bulletin board. If the post isn’t aspirational, inspirational, or valuable, it’s draining value from your brand. — Ask yourself. Would you stop scrolling for your own post? Would you act on it? If the answer is no, why would anyone else? — And once they engage, is the buyer journey seamless? If not, fix it. Your pipeline depends on making content people actually want to see. Build for that. It feels scary because you’re ‘excluding’ other users. No. ?? Marketers, you’re on the putting green. If you try putting your ball at five holes, you’ll probably hit no holes. One golf ball. One hole. Take your shot. I believe marketers (+ founders, enterprise, thought leaders) who have a user-centered, aggressive social strategy will win at demand gen in 2025, and their pipeline will show it. This is my sliver of lived experience. What do you think? What do you see from your world?

Want my biggest piece of advice for growth and success here? It might surprise you: Step out of your bubble. If you're like most of us, you have a go-to group of first-degree connections you enjoy engaging with, and that's great! Keep doing that. But don’t stop there. If you only engage with first-degree connections, you're missing out on great content, fresh ideas, and valuable new relationships. Take a look at your second- and third-degree connections. See what they're sharing. Notice who your first-degree connections are engaging with. It's the best way to meet new people, discover new content, and maybe even fall back in love with this platform (because I do hear some of y’all complaining, and I get it). Who’s a new connection that you made recently that you think we all should know? ?? Alissa Randall

It's been a decade since my husband's Parkinson's diagnosis, what a journey it has been! Despite the challenges, we've learned that with a bit of creativity and teamwork, there's no need to stop doing the things we love. We have learned along the way: ?? Stress Less: Stress and uncertainty can exacerbate symptoms. As a big-picture thinker, I thrive in chaos, while my husband, a military veteran, prefers structure. We balance this by mapping out our plans on a calendar, bringing order to the chaos and minimizing stress. ?? Teamwork: We've always been a team, dividing responsibilities based on our strengths. This partnership has been invaluable in navigating life with Parkinson's. ?? Exercise: Exercise is crucial whether walking the dog, a general workout, or boxing. We both took boxing lessons awhile ago and love it! It's an excellent workout for those with Parkinson's and a great way to reduce stress. We're still figuring out where to hang that heavy bag at home! ?? Life is Limitless: Just because Parkinson's is part of our lives doesn't mean we can't travel, work on our 1953 MGTD (our “date car”), or enjoy life to the fullest. We make adjustments as needed, but together, nothing is off-limits. ?? Advocacy: We're committed to supporting innovations in Parkinson's research. From participating in clinical trials to collaborating with biopharma companies, we're optimistic about finding a cure. Life with Parkinson's requires flexibility, but it doesn't have to limit your dreams. By embracing challenges and supporting each other, we can achieve anything. We're proud of how far we've come and look forward to what the future holds. #LivingWithParkinsons #PatientAdvocacy #BiopharmaInnovation ---------------------------------- ?? It is amazing what happens when you state that you work in rare disease as you introduce yourself You hear stories from parents, rare disease patients, and others who work in rare disease that reinforce your passion for working in this area. At a recent conference I met a parent whose daughter had been diagnosed with a rare disease. After years of seeing different physicians and having different testing done, some of which was painful the family decided to go to the Mayo Clinic to see one last specialist Within the first 5 minutes, the specialist had diagnosed the specific rare disease his daughter based on the way she was moving her hands when they came into the clinic The relief and frustration in this individual’s voice when he was telling me his story was apparent ?? They finally had a diagnosis and could move forward ?? The guilt they had for putting their child through so many tests over the years that likely were not required ?? The frustration that none of the providers they had seen prior to this were able to look at the symptoms their child had and consider the zebra amongst the horses This discussion reminded me of something that the prior head of the FDA, Robert Califf, commented on at a meeting last year: He wanted to enable physicians anywhere to be able to consider a rare disease the first time they saw a patient in the clinic or hospital I agree with him and partner with companies to find innovative solutions to enable this On this #RareDiseaseDay I want to challenge others in industry to start or continue to find innovative solutions to the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases. We need to change the narrative from “when you hear hoofbeats think horses” to “when you hear hoofbeats think zebras”.

This is also where I: ? Listened, leaned in, and engaged. ? Shared what I learned. ? Supported others in their journey. ? Offered guidance and courage. ? Connected others to each other. ? You and I both know buyers have 90% of their research done before they ever talk to sales.?Here’s how we stay in the conversation, become a known expert, and earn trust 24/7: We can’t rely on scattered LinkedIn posts or hope people magically find our solutions. It’s on us to create a body of work, insights gathered in a newsletter, podcast, or video series. When the buyer thinks, “We need a solution (or speaker),” you’re already top of mind, because you've been serving and teaching long before they needed you. Your content becomes the conversation! Crucial to do in thought leadership? → It's NOT about pitching. Let everyone else do that. → It's about trust. Authority in your zone of genius. → Share insights that solve problems.? → Guide them through the gaps in their knowledge so you're recognized as the resource they’ve been missing. This is how you fix the broken buyer’s journey and shorten the sales cycle. Plus, it costs next to nothing to start. If you're the face of your brand, responsible for pipeline, have a 'Director' 'Head of' or C in your title, you need a body of work. Start here. (And yes - CMOs, this means you, too!!)?
