This week, our team had the privilege of joining 4Roots for a celebratory Carrot Pull?? to mark the completion of the Education Phase at the 4Roots Farm Campus in The Packing District! Designed to inspire healthy food practices, this innovative campus will be a hub for teaching farming techniques, sharing regional farming history, and promoting sustainable practices. The goal? Strengthening our local food system and making fresh, healthy produce accessible to all Orlando residents. Dix.Hite proudly guided the Foundation through a charrette to create the master plan for the farm, and we're excited for what’s to come. From a Discovery Center to a café, event barn, and more, the vision for 4Roots is set to grow and thrive! ?? #4Roots #4RootsFarm #ThisisOrlando

This week, we're thrilled to share the mic with David Hoppes, Principal at Dix.Hite + Partners! Dix.Hite provides leadership in design and landscape architecture, with special expertise in sustainable mixed-use, transportation and trails, parks and public space, multifamily development, and master planned communities. In the episode, David, Monaca, and Callie, debunk some common misconceptions surrounding the profession of landscape architecture, while discussing the important link between nature and placemaking that the Dix.Hite + Partners team is so passionate about. We also learn about David's intriguing journey to his career in landscape architecture, stemming from his time growing up on a farm. David says it best — “We’re constantly putting ourselves in the place of the end-user. What is the experience? All the little details matter–the materials, the finishes, the location of things. They all really matter with how you experience a place.” We hope you enjoy the episode! ?????? https://lnkd.in/eTJnAFSt #CommunityCreators #DesigningForLife #LandscapeArchitecture #MasterPlannedCommunities #RealEstatePodcast
