396 swimmers. 4 kilometers. One unforgettable journey. The 2025 Nevis to St. Kitts Cross-Channel Swim made waves with a record-breaking 479 registrants and global representation—from the U.S. to Eastern Europe to the Caribbean and beyond. From 11-year-old Greyson Burrel to 82-year-old Mervyn Goldbas, this year’s swim proved that open water belongs to everyone. First place: Robert Margalis – 00:58:55 50% of visiting spectators stayed in Nevis, supporting local hotels and businesses Many participants stayed after the race to hike Nevis Peak and experience the island’s vibrant culture. This wasn’t just a swim. It’s a celebration of community, culture, and connection. 📸 @nevisnaturally _____ #DiversityInAquatics #OpenWaterForAll #NevisToStKitts

April is for Action. This month, we’re challenging our community to stand up; for equity, for access, and for life-saving change in and around the water. Drowning is a global crisis. In the U.S., Black, Indigenous, and communities of color face drowning rates up to 6x higher than their white peers. These disparities are rooted in history and fueled by unequal access to water safety education and safe aquatic spaces. It’s not enough to be aware. This April, we act. 💧 Educate yourself and your community 💧 Support programs breaking down barriers 💧 Advocate for inclusive aquatic spaces 💧 Share your story and amplify others Because water safety is a right, not a privilege. And every life lost to drowning is one too many. Join us. Take the pledge. Make waves. _____ #AprilIsForAction #DiversityInAquatics #SwimToLive #WaterSafetyForAll #MakeWaves #AquaticsEquity

Today on World Autism Awareness Day, we stand in support of neurodiverse individuals and families in and around the water 🧩 At Diversity In Aquatics, we believe inclusion in aquatics means more than access—it means creating environments where every swimmer feels safe, supported, and seen. Water can be a powerful space for learning, growth, and joy—but only when programs are designed with all minds and bodies in mind. Let’s keep advocating for inclusive, adaptive aquatics programs and trained instructors who make this possible. _____ #WorldAutismAwarenessDay #InclusionMatters #AquaticsForAll #NeurodiversityInAquatics #DiversityInAquatics #AdaptiveAquatics
