This Sunday in the United States we will "spring forward" into Daylight Savings Time. (You're welcome for the reminder!) So what better time to remind everyone -- as we approach International Women's Day tomorrow and march through Women's History Month -- that forward progress takes effort. Women have made great strides in the legal profession but there is more to do to achieve equity of opportunity. This month we celebrate the accomplishments of women in the antitrust and consumer protection bar and continue to push forward! ABA.Women.Connected

Today is the last day of Black History Month, but we at Diversity.Advanced honor and celebrate the accomplishments of diverse members of our community every single day. One of the best ways that we support diversity in our profession is through community. Beyond Diversity.Advanced and ABA.Women.Connected, the Antitrust Section has a number of affinity groups that our members can connect with for mentorship and more. Today, we wanted to highlight one such opportunity for community -- the ABA Antitrust Black Squad. Follow the link to connect with the group on LinkedIn!

As we continue to honor Black History Month, we are reminded of the countless contributions black women have made to the legal profession. Although there are too many such contributions to highlight, please check out this piece from a few years ago by the National Museum of African American History & Culture which notes the role of Charlotte E. Ray, the first black American female lawyer in the United States and just a few of the trailblazers that followed in her footsteps. #blackhistorymonth

We will be doing this all month so please stay tuned! #blackhistorymonth
