It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Carroll Campbell, 84 years old, who passed away on March 6, 2025, at his home in Dunwoody, Georgia, he lived a life filled with warmth, generosity, and laughter. Tom was born on March 2, 1941, in Lima, Ohio. He began his working career at Baldwin, Lima, Hamilton Corporation where he worked as a metallurgist. Along with this new job, he fell in love with the game of golf and in 1972 met Albert Taft, who recognized his work ethic and infectious personality and hired him as a salesman for Packard Equipment Company, with the home office in Lima, Ohio. Tom was mentored in the business world, and under Albert’s guidance, Packard Equipment grew to five warehouses throughout the United States. Tom eventually moved with the business to Los Angeles, CA where he met the love of his life Jean Campbell and in 1984, they moved their family and the Corporate office to Georgia. Tom and Jean were happily married for 43 adventure-filled years. Tom was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor; he loved to laugh. Tom’s kind heart ran deep, his heart was always open to anyone who crossed his path, if you were his friend, you were always his friend. Tom’s Joy of family and the many cherished friendships he had all over the world was what kept he and Jean loving life. Their shared love of travel allowed them to create some wonderful memories of Hawaii, China, Israel and Europe. His passion for hard work along with his big heart transformed that small company in Lima Ohio into a globally recognized business with brands that will live on in his memory for a long time. However, the most important part of his 49-year career with Packard Inc. were the people that came into his circle of influence. His Packard family over his 49 years included many employees (his work family), his customers and suppliers (His friends and partners) all were important and special to him. He loved speaking into their lives and helping to lighten their load in whatever way he could. Tom made sure everyone knew they were needed and appreciated. Tom loved many things in life, family, friends, golf, the Ohio Buckeyes, Jean’s gourmet cooking and Jack Daniels. His favorite saying was “Let’s have a party!” He truly loved life! Tom's dedication, passion, and hard work were evident in every aspect of his life. His professional achievements were a testament to his commitment and drive, while his personal life was marked by his love of Family and the cherished relationships he built. Tom will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Tom's legacy will live on in the many hearts of those he touched throughout his remarkable life. Tom will be remembered with a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life on June 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at?St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church: 7171 Glenridge Dr., Sandy Springs, GA.
