关于我们
Diversify CCAM by integrating the European cultural and regional variations in the design and implementation of citizen-friendly solutions to foster mobility equity. Cooperative, connected, and automated mobility (CCAM) solutions can greatly benefit the EU mobility systems. However, their adoption has been slow due to low societal demand, as they struggle to integrate smoothly into current systems and clearly convey their benefits. The EU-funded Diversify-CCAM project will address this challenge by developing a diversification tool, integrating cultural, geographical, and policy considerations into the design and development process of CCAM solutions. To achieve this goal, the project will establish 12 pilot sites in six EU countries, examining differences in CCAM implementation between rural and urban environments, and identifying barriers to the acceptance and efficiency of CCAM.

Thank you, Sweden! ???? The Diversify-CCAM consortium has successfully concluded our second General Assembly in Link?ping, led by our wonderful hosts at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI). ?? A major highlight was visiting Nykil, one of our pilot sites, where we gained valuable insights into the unique mobility needs of its residents. This hands-on experience is essential as we work to ensure that future mobility solutions meet diverse local requirements. ?? We also had the opportunity to explore the “Ride the Future” pilot project, featuring two autonomous shuttles operating around Link?ping Campus and Vallastaden. Seeing these shuttles in action emphasised the exciting possibilities for connected, cooperative and automated mobility in real-world settings. At the heart of our gathering was a commitment to understanding local mobility dynamics and fostering collaboration across our diverse consortium. ?? Stay tuned as we share more insights and highlights from this productive week! #DiversifyCCAM #HorizonEurope #MobilityEquity #Inclusion #SustainableTransport #Innovation #ConnectedVehicles #AutonomousDriving #EuropeanProject

? How can we effectively convey #CCAM solutions and the potential benefits of autonomous public transport and shared mobility services to society? ? ? Furthermore, how can we communicate these advantages within existing mobility systems and adapt to the diverse environments where citizens live, work, and conduct their daily activities? To tackle these questions, Diversify-CCAM organised a session at the recent Urbanism Next Center at the University of Oregon Conference in Amesterdam, on how cultural, geographical and policy aspects affect CCAM solutions towards fair and accessible mobility in European regions. The session was moderated by Guido Di Pasquale (PAVE Europe), with insights from: ? Anna Anund, Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) ? Stella Nikolaou, Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) ? Andrea Lucia Hauslbauer, Ph.D. DLR Institut für Verkehrsforschung ? Jamie Hodsdon, Oxa ? Edwin Mermans, Provincie Noord-Brabant The main takeways from the discussion included: ?? Very few studies exist on how culture influences transport mobility and the acceptance and use of transport technologies. Diversify-CCAM aims to fulfill this gap. ?? Cultural contrasts illustrate how the same CCAM technology may be embraced differently in urban and rural areas of the same country, and even more so when comparing countries with varying cultural dimensions. ? ?? It is important to investigate which policy aspects influence mobility needs, attitudes and choices across various regions, and how these aspects may affect the deployment, operation and acceptance of CCAM systems. ? ?? Geographical factors like topography, built environment and climate conditions should be considered to tailor CCAM solutions and deployment. ? Thank you very much to all speakers and participants for a highly informative and engaging discussion! ? Attention now shifts to the next Diversify-CCAM General Assembly, scheduled next week in Link?ping, Sweden. We are looking forward to being together again and advancing the project further. ? Stay tuned for all upcoming developments! European Commission CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency

We are thrilled to announce that Diversify-CCAM, a Horizon Europe project dedicated to revolutionising Shared Connected Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) was kicked-off successfully on June 18-19, 2024, hosted by Hellenic Institute of Transport at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) campus in Thessaloniki, Greece. This initiative is set to pave the way for a future where autonomous mobility solutions are inclusive, equitable, and tailored to diverse social landscapes across Europe. Diversify-CCAM envisions developing innovative methods and tools that empower #CCAM developers, transportation planners, and policymakers at all levels (European, national, regional) to integrate social diversities into the design and implementation of future shared autonomous mobility systems. Our mission is to ensure that these systems are accessible and beneficial to all communities. Our vision and aims include: ?? Integrating Social Diversities: Creating inclusive CCAM solutions by considering cultural, geographical, and policy aspects across 12 diversified local contexts in 6 European countries. ?? Enhancing Social Acceptance: Expanding knowledge on social acceptance and willingness to use CCAM by incorporating diverse perspectives and best practices. ?? Promoting Mobility Equity: Pioneering fair deployment strategies to advance mobility equity Europewide, ensuring that the benefits of autonomous mobility are shared by all. This ambitious project brings together 15 partners from across Europe, including leading experts, industry partners, research institutions, and public authorities. Together, we will address the technical, regulatory, and social challenges associated with CCAM, ensuring that the future of mobility is inclusive and equitable.
