When it comes to my professional life, I don’t often post, and I don’t spend much time curating information about myself online. The time I could spend talking about my work is time I’d rather use doing the work—building, supporting, and ensuring that the people and institutions I serve have what they need to succeed. Almost all of my career has been spent behind the scenes, ensuring that programs, initiatives, and projects are executed with excellence. I take deep pride in that work, and the greatest satisfaction comes from seeing the impact—whether it’s a student finding their path, a program transforming lives, or an institution thriving. Because of this, being recognized as one of this year’s Top 40 Leaders Making a Difference in the World of Academe is an honor that I accept with deep gratitude. It is a reminder that the work we do, even when it happens behind the scenes, matters. Thank you to Diverse: Issues In Higher Education for this recognition and honor. Thank you to the colleagues, mentors, and students who continue to inspire and push me to be better every day.
