This Veterans Day, we’re proud to spotlight Rene Sandoval, a dedicated manufacturing engineer at Distron who also serves in the Air National Guard. His journey is a powerful reminder of commitment, both to our country and his work. From overseas deployments to shaping our production floor, Rene brings his values and expertise to everything he does. While serving on deployment in Djibouti, Rene had the honor of dedicating an American flag to Distron. The flag was flown during a mission symbolizing America’s presence and commitment to the region. Rene shares, “The flag represented more than just our country—it stood for unity, sacrifice, and a shared purpose. Knowing it flew with us was a reminder of the values we hold dear: freedom, service, and commitment.” This flag now serves as a symbol of these values at Distron, reminding us of the dedication behind our team members’ contributions. Rene’s career journey has been shaped by a love for adventure, inspired by family members who served in the military. He holds an associate degree in Multimedia & Graphic Design and is pursuing a bachelor’s in organizational leadership. His experience in technical fields and the Air National Guard, particularly in maintenance, has provided him with valuable skills in precision, problem-solving, and leadership, which have become essential in his role at Distron. In his 10.5 years at Distron, Rene applied the lessons learned from his military experience to his work as a manufacturing engineer. His focus on quality, efficiency, and adaptability has driven impactful projects like restructuring our production floor layout, which enhanced our workflows and productivity. He shares, “The ability to assess complex systems, troubleshoot effectively, and work under pressure is key in my role. The values of teamwork, discipline, and leadership are woven into each project I take on at Distron.” With aspirations to move into a managerial role, Rene hopes to guide teams and implement strategies that drive efficiency and quality across our operations. His experiences, from deployment abroad to his commitment to continuous improvement, equip him with a unique perspective that benefits both his current role and future ambitions. For Rene, Veterans Day is a day of reflection, recognizing the collective sacrifice of all who serve. “It’s a day to appreciate the values I gained from my time in the Guard—discipline, teamwork, and resilience—and connect with fellow veterans who understand the unique challenges and rewards of military service.” Rene, thank you for your service and for bringing your skills and dedication to Distron. This past Wednesday, our marketing associate, Madison Davine, returned to her high school, Bishop Feehan, to speak with students in a Marketing and Communications class. Madison, who graduated from Feehan in 2020 and from the University of New Hampshire earlier this year, now leads our marketing efforts at Distron. During her visit, Madison shared her journey from high school student to marketing associate, explaining how internships and early career experiences helped shape her path. She encouraged students to explore different roles to find what excites them and provided real-life insights into working in the fast-paced manufacturing industry.
