Great marketers challenge the people and brands they work with to be GREAT. 4. Great marketers understand the business model and what drives results. 5. Great marketers know that avoiding risks is riskier than taking smart ones. 6. Great marketers communicate what business leaders care about with clarity and purpose. 7. Great marketers embrace wins and losses with transparency and accountability. 8. Great marketers get clear on their unique value and weave it into all their marketing. 9. Great marketers focus on attracting and retaining their highest-value customers. 10. Great marketers know data isn’t perfect but prioritize it to guide outcomes. 11. I’m struggling with targeting the right niche audience. My natural inclination toward flexibility makes it hard to nail down a specific audience—I end up being too broad. What’s the payoff? I get to stay flexible (which I love), but I dilute the message. I need to get clearer on the end goal for our messaging and evaluate what would feel GREAT in terms of impact.
