Simulation-based education has become a cornerstone of clinical training but requires significant resources. Virtual Reality (VR) is an immersive technology that has gained traction as a complement to live simulation in several clinical areas, including surgery and emergency medicine.?? ? I am deeply appreciative of the growth and expertise exhibited by the team at the Foundation for Cardiac and Community Services (FICCS). What started as a mere dream has now become a brilliant reality. FICCS is dedicated to the education, elevation, and empowerment of East Africans through scholarship and healthcare training. Our efforts have reached far and wide, from remote areas in Kenya to resource-limited urban environments. We have conducted high-quality Cardiac conferences in Kenya and recently expanded our reach to Zanzibar. Our target audience ranges from young grade school students to nursing and medical students, paramedics, interns, residents, cardiology fellows, cardiologists, general physicians, emergency medicine specialists, surgeons, and nurses. All of them have greatly benefited from our hands-on practical approach to training. I would like to express my gratitude to the team that taught the Acute Cardiovascular Care Symposium and presented a Cardiogenic Shock simulation at the Cardio Tan Meeting in Zanzibar last week. Led by Dr Erin Nasrallah MD the collaborative efforts resulted in a truly interactive program. It was a privilege to be invited by Dr. Kuzeima Khanbhai, the course director, and be a part of such meaningful work. Africa is undeniably rising, and FICCS is proud to contribute to the growth and development of healthcare professionals in East Africa.
