Might seem obvious, but if you operate marketing for a dispensary and want to end the year strong, you NEED your text messages to deliver well.
If text message deliverability has been a concern recently here are 3 easy things you can do ASAP that could save you hundreds of $$ in text costs over the next week while still generating additional revenue:
1. Target your best click through audience. Why? For one, if a customer is clicking your text links then you 100% know that text was delivered to their phone. Customers who also click links don't opt out, which if you didn't know yet, high opt out rates trigger phone carriers that your numbers could be spam. Segment CTR audiences WITH visit recently, categories etc. You’ll spend less and still make more. Plus you can go back to that audience segment over and over again without compromising deliverability.
2. Use new MMS images and text templates. MMS delivers better overall than just SMS, but odds are you are probably using the same image over and over again, which carriers once again think you are spam. Please mix it up. Insert new and fresh MMS images to keep carriers guessing and avoid spam filtering.?Plus customers like seeing things that look new which also reduces opt outs and helps delivery.
3. Pay attention to your CTR so you can make adjustments quickly. You CANNOT have a passive relationship with text marketing in cannabis. DON'T just hit send and check results a few days later before the next text. If text delivery performs poorly it's too late to retarget and drive more sales. If your provider does not display delivery results, take your avg CTR on past campaigns and track against it. For example if you avg 10% CTR on most messages and your holiday blast did 2% CTR, then it most likely failed and you’ll need your provider to make quick adjustments on your sending numbers. Don’t settle!
Remember more clicks = more sales. Best of luck out there I know the up and downs are frustrating. If you really really need help figuring out who and when to send your texts on a limited budget I should have time today and Saturday to quickly take a look. Happy Holidays!
