Every year, Coca-Cola collectors from around the world gather in Dunwoody for Springtime in Atlanta, the second-largest Coca-Cola memorabilia convention in the U.S. But for many, this event is about more than just collecting—it’s about the friendships, stories, and connections that span decades. In this heartfelt episode of Dunwoody Dialogues, we sit down with Oscar Segovia and John Buchholz from the Coca-Cola Collectors Club (Atlanta Chapter). John, a longtime member, shares emotional memories of the friendships built over years of attending the event, proving that this club is more than just memorabilia—it’s a family. From vintage signs and international finds to rare collectibles that tell the history of the Coca-Cola brand, this conversation dives deep into what makes collecting so special. For over 40 years, Dunwoody has been home to this event, welcoming collectors from all over the world. Springtime in Atlanta isn’t just about buying and selling—it’s about the people. John and Oscar take us inside the experience, where hotel rooms transform into mini pop-up stores, collectors share their knowledge, and new friendships are formed. The Saturday Swap Meet, the only part of the convention open to the public, offers a glimpse into this passionate community. It gives anyone the chance to discover rare Coca-Cola treasures and meet the people who love them. The 2025 event takes place April 15-19 at Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter, with the Swap Meet happening on April 19 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
