Since the beginning of March, we’ve been live nationally with our annual campaign.?The campaign is intended to position Halifax as the elixir to the stresses of urban living – and with everything happening, we’re all pretty stressed just now. The Shubenacadie River is an historic waterway in the heart of Nova Scotia. From its deep significance to the Mi’kmaq people to its role in the industrial era, it has long been a passage of connection. Today, it provides local and visitors year-round access to trails and interpretation opportunities. When you explore the canal, you walk through layers of history - one that began thousands of years ago and continues to shape the identity of our province. We’re proud to have partnered with Dr. Roger Lewis, Richard MacMichael, the Shubenacadie Canal Commission, the Nova Scotia Indigenous Tourism Enterprise Network, and Mirror Image Media in the creation of a new video that will help to educate about the canal and entice visitors to explore. https://lnkd.in/e9H2KRZB

Congratulations to everyone involved in the 2024 JUNOS and Wavemakers Tour! This nomination is a testament to all the hard work that went into making the event a success ??
We are so excited that the 2024 JUNOS and Wavemakers Tour is nominated for the Event of the Year at the 2025 East Coast Music Awards (care of the East Coast Music Association). This nomination recognizes the collaborative effort of Events East Group, Music Nova Scotia, Discover Halifax, ANSMA Music, and all of the incredible professionals and partners who made up the 2024 Halifax JUNO Host Committee to deliver the 2024 JUNOS. The week-long celebration of Canadian music and culture kicked off with the Wavemakers Tour in 2023, followed by events in March 2024: JUNO Fest, JUNO Week, the JUNO Block Party, Junior JUNOS, the JUNO Opening Night Awards at the Halifax Convention Centre, and the 2024 JUNO Awards at Scotiabank Centre. Over 50 artists from all four Atlantic provinces performed at JUNO events. We are honoured to be recognized with our partners and community for hosting an Event of the Year, an amazing achievement for Halifax, our industry, our partners, and the region.
