UF Shimberg Center's Disaster Resilient Florida

The UF Shimberg Center for Housing Studies' Disaster Resilient Florida (DRF) initiative is developed in partnership with the Florida Sea Grant. This initiative integrates science, communication, planning, design, and outreach to support communities addressing coastal climate change challenges. Specifically, this partnership will advance the awareness of, and planning for, the impacts of coastal climate change on affordable housing across Florida. This initiative is funded by FY 2022 Sea Grant Coastal Adaptation and Resilience. The Shimberg Center for Housing Studies is housed within the M.E Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management and the College of Design, Construction & Planning at the University of Florida.
