"Resume Tip" Customize! Customize! Customize! Why are you not customizing your resume? While sending the same resume out to every job may make the process easier, there’s a big benefit to tailoring it each time based on the job description. Look for keywords in the job description, and then tweak your resume to mimic these responsibilities. For example, if the first requirement in the job description mentions “proficient in Adobe Photoshop,” make sure Adobe Photoshop is listed on your resume. #disability #jobs #resumetips disABLEDperson.com

"Interview Tip" A Question NOT to ask during an Interview! Do You Do a Background Check? Most companies will conduct a background check. Hence, you must furnish accurate and verifiable details to potential employers. Unless you’ve lied on your resume or have given questionable references, you shouldn’t be asking this question. It can be a big red flag to interviewers when you don’t seem confident about your past. They may either think you’ve made grave mistakes or that you’re concealing information. #disability #interviewtip disABLEDperson.com

"Interview Tip" Be Mindful of the Day and Time Your Interview Takes Place The Date and Time your interview takes place matters and could affect its outcome. Interviewing early in the week and early in the day is possibly better because the interviewers won’t be tired from conducting numerous interviews. This means they will be much more present and energetic during your interview. So if you have a choice, choose early week and early day if possible and do your best to read the room once you are in there with the interviewers. #disability #jobs #interviewtips disABLEDperson.com
