Disability Rights Maryland (DRM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that protects and advances the rights of people with disabilities in Maryland. We provide free legal support to address issues like abuse, neglect or discrimination which might occur in education, housing, transportation, healthcare, voting, and more. DRM works to ensure that people with disabilities don’t have to live in institutions unnecessarily. We envision a world where everyone has access to the services they need to fully participate in the workplace, neighborhoods, and all aspects of community life.

Congratulations on passing the bar!
Beyond excited--and more than a little relieved--to announce that I passed the DC Bar with a score high enough to practice in any UBE jurisdiction! I'm looking forward to the opportunities that are now open to me as I continue my work with Disability Rights Maryland's Adult Mental Health team. Now, onto finalizing my admission, waiving into the Maryland bar, and trading in my Law Clerk title for Staff Attorney!

Today I am reflecting on a truly wonderful evening celebrating the Disability Rights Maryland 2024 Breaking Barriers Gala at the American Visionary Arts Museum with Lauren Perlin last week. As always, it was inspiring to hear the stories of resilience and dedication that are at the heart of every fight for the civil rights of people with disabilities. Special thank you to Meghan Marsh, Shannon McDermott, and the entire DRM team for the hard work and long hours it takes to pull off an event like this. Congratulations to Senator Tammy Duckworth, Senator Clarence Lam, Liz Bowie, and Mayer Brown on their well-earned recognition. I also want to especially congratulate Jessica Weber for taking over as President of the Board of DRM. The organization is in very good hands!
