????DIS, Inc. ~ I had the pleasure of visiting one of our long standing customers, Exception PCB Ltd located in Tewkesbury. I’m always grateful for meetings that take place while walking through the factory. Kamal Berberi MD, showed me a wide range of pcb capabilities, new investments in equipment and a work culture that embraces and implements innovation. The espresso and wisdom shared was equally appreciated. It was great to see a lot of my Polish heritage ???? present within the factory as well. Artur who leads the lamination department gave me some cool history regarding that. His skill set using the DIS system was impressive and I witnessed a technique being used I’ve yet to see anywhere else in the world. ?? ???? DIS, Inc. - There’s a ton of action going on in the PCB world right now. The CPCA exhibition in Shenzhen, China ???? just wrapped up. Electronica exhibition in Munich, Germany ???? kicks off this week. New PCB Factories are being constructed in USA, Europe, India, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. The end of the year is near and the great push to finish Q4 strong is in motion for everyone. For myself, a ????UK business trip was in the cards. Landed ?? at London-Heathrow, Hotel check-in, espresso, then a chilly morning 5k nature run?? to move the blood and recalibrate. There’s much to do and a lot of ground to cover this week meeting the UK PCB manufacturers while DIS owner, Anthony Faraci will be in SoCal attending & presenting at a Summit technical conference. The countryside, history, culture, food and PCB manufacturers hospitality was exceptional. In addition, the quality time spent with owners, directors and process engineers was insightful, appreciated and productive. We were happy to see many customers during the week but not all the ones we wanted to visit with the limited time we had. ?? DIS, Inc. ~ We are pleased to announce that Unimicron’s PCB factory located in Kunshan, China has accepted and completed the OLS-D (pinless optical alignment & bonding) equipment buy-off. The goal was to bring in new technology focused on production yields and precision layer to layer accuracy for #HDI PCBs.
