Want to be a better PCB buyer? Want to employ better circuit board buyers? We can help. DirectPCB's newsletter, Better Board Buying, teaches the art of PCB purchasing. And it is an art, one that fewer and fewer people know how to master. The traditional way of buying circuit boards doesn’t work anymore. Buyers don’t have access to the resources once available to help them make good decisions. They often have to rely on outdated, seat-of-the-pants training that can lead to costly mistakes. There is simply too much money to be made—or lost—in the $60 billion PCB industry to neglect buyer training. It’s too important. That’s where we come in. We educate PCB buyers. Our training program gives them the tools they need to do their jobs better, offering the most up-to-date information on issues in board buying. We teach buyers how to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of both offshore and domestic manufacturing sources. We also show them how to leverage buying power to get the best circuit board prices, and how to expertly navigate sourcing issues based on order size and technology type. And that’s just for starters. Our mission is to educate printed circuit board buyers and strengthen their supply chains.

    With President-elect Trump announcing plans to impose tariffs on all products coming into the US from Canada, Mexico, and China on his first day in office, it’s best to get your #PCB orders in now. Several customers have contacted DirectPCB about building and bringing in their February, March and April 2025 orders prior to the inauguration. DirectPCB can easily include warehousing of product to ship scheduled quantities in the desired timeframe. Another option is our PCB manufacturer in Thailand, which is fully operational producing high-mix, low-to-medium-volume (HMLMV) quantities! PCBs manufactured in Thailand are not currently subject to tariffs regardless of the layer count. In other words, get it while the getting is good.
