Last week, our team members came together across our Restaurant Support Centers in Pasadena, Kansas City, and Dallas for an afternoon filled with gratitude, good food, and great company! Amidst our Thanksgiving celebrations, Dine LatinX and Indigenous Networking Collective (LINC) Team Member Resource Group (TMRG) also held a Native American Story Time event that brought tribal stories to life through gorgeous illustrations and the voice talents of our very own Dine LINC members. We’re proud to celebrate the impact our beloved brands have had on the communities they serve. To celebrate National Philanthropy Day, take a look at what Applebee’s, IHOP, and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop have done throughout 2024 to make a difference and support those in need: Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar has been Doin' Good for over 40 years, donating millions and volunteering thousands of hours to communities nationwide. Proudly partnering with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Applebee’s has raised $17M for pediatric cancer research, including $1.6M in 2024 alone. They’ve also served 11.7M free meals to veterans and active duty service members and invested nearly $1.2M in scholarships for Team Members and their families. During IHOP’s 2024 Month of Giving, they were proud to have raised over 1 million meals for families in need through their partnership with Feeding America. Together, they’re working to provide nutritious meals and resources to communities across the nation. Fuzzy's Taco Shop franchisees and guests raised nearly $34,000 for No Kid Hungry during a 20-day campaign, helping provide healthy meals to children across the country that are experiencing hunger. A special shout out to their Colorado shops for raising over $14,000! The announcement was made at the MURTEC Executive Summit in San Diego, where our Dine Brands CIO, Justin E. Skelton, MBA, represented Dine and IHOP to accept the award. Prior to the ceremony, Justin joined Hospitality Technology's VP and Publisher, Abigail Lorden Leonhard, on stage to discuss IHOP’s A.I. powered recommendation engine and walked the audience through the innovation process behind the platform. ? Our new dual-branded concept is all about providing more choice, more variety, and more value within one great restaurant experience. ? We have 15 sites planned to open in the U.S., with our first location opening just outside of San Antonio in Seguin, TX early next year. Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is celebrating it’s 17th consecutive year of showing gratitude by offering all active military members and veterans a complimentary full-size entrée from an exclusive menu at over 1,500 locations nationwide. Plus, every veteran and service member will receive a $5 Bounce Back Card for their next meal. IHOP is serving up a tasty treat with free Red, White & Blue Pancakes or Pancake Combo for veterans at participating locations.
